Need a credit card for our honeymoon in July to America.
We also have our wedding to pay for, the reception will cost 10k to a hotel, im thinking pay this on a cc to gain cashback/rewards? anyone any experience of doing this? although i doubt ill get a 10k card straight off.
I dont have an existing cc, can anyone recommend a suitable card?

Good idea, if you can get a limit over £10k with a first card. You really should be in a position to repay the whole balance as soon as it appears on your statement otherwise any gain from cashback is likely to be lost in the interest you will pay.thriftychap wrote: »Need a credit card for our honeymoon in July to America.

visa / mastercard / amex (AMerican EXpress) are all widely accepted in the usa.
also never get married on credit, if it goes wrong you don't want a debt to pay up, when you lonely and fed up. If you don't have a credit card its unlikely you'll get a £10k limit. also venues may charge a fee for credit cards.0 -

Why won't they give you a 10k limit for someone with no experience in handling a credit card, nonsense just tell the credit card company its for a hotel they will understand, if you don't get that limit I would appeal...0 -

Tesco credit card will be widely accepted in USA. It is either a Visa or MasterCard card and both of those are accepted all over the states0
