Wi-fi printers and cheap ink

I have an old Canon IP3000 printer and use replica cartridges in it which I buy off Ebay for about £1 each. I am thinking of getting a wi-fi printer which can print in colour and on both sides of the paper (duplex) but it seems the cheapest replica ink sets for these are £15. Rather than pay four times more for the ink, I might stick with my old IP3000 unless anyone can suggest a modern printer than uses cheap ink?

Could be worth posting the cartridge numbers to see if anyone knows a cheaper alternative0

Sorry about that, was meaning the cartridges which you have seen for £15
This place does a lot of refill by post and most are £7 black and £9 colour

Also whether you need to print photos0 -
I might have found a good solution: the Canon Pixma MG5250 for £74.99 on Amazon. 10 cartridges on Ebay cost £14.99 (for example item 270712178697). Does anyone with more experience than printers think this is the best way to go, or are there any other better options?
Ah...a possible hitch, the Ebay item states the cartridge chips must be transferred from the original ink cartridges. Is that easy?0 -

well the canon printer i have the chips look easy to remove and then put them onto a new ink0 -
I Googled it and it seems you have to use a knife to remove them. A bit of a hassle, I'll stick to my old printer unless anyone can suggest a wi-fi one that doesn't use chipped cartridges / has cheap replicas available?0

What about the HP Deskjet 3050, found inks for £21 here, seller is reputable
printer is £40 on tesco
depends how much you want to spend, they do say the more you spend on a printer the less the inks cost and vice versa low cost printer inks cost alot
Thanks, but £21 for two cartridges is a lot when I am paying £1 each now (albeit replicas)0 -

sorry my apologies
its just a printer you want isnt it rather than a 3 in 1 or 4 in 10 -
Yes, it's just a printer I'd like (wi-fi so we can print from our laptops without plugging in USB cables).0
