Kwik Fit car service

I booked an mot and car service online with the above company and paid £195.00. However looking through some of my documents today I have a promo code to get 20% off.
I mentioned this to the guy in the Kwik fit centre and explained I did:T not find the code until afterwards and asked if he could do anything. He explained that the 20% would have automatically been taken off and the discounted price was £195.00. WRONG!!
I phoned their online web service and gave them the code and they agreed to refund £40.00 back to my cc even though it was booked back in April.
The moral of the story is if you book online and then afterwards find a promo code ring them up and take no notice of what they say in the actual centres.
However they are excellent at doing the job they know best.

What's that then, finding more work that doesn't really need doing?0 -
Was going to say the same thing, and I certainly wouldn't let any of their so called "mechanics" (I use that term loosely) anywhere near anything mechanical.Scooby_Doo. wrote: »What's that then, finding more work that doesn't really need doing?Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
^^ Nope, finding £40 worth of repairs that "NEED" doing or else the car will fall apart

Sorry, I just can't take you seriously now :rotfl:0 -
I wouldn't trust them with a toy car! What is pi? Where did it come from?0

How can the Kwik Fit monkey claim that the website has taken the 20% off automatically without the discount code. How would the website have known that you had a discount code in your possession but forgot to enter it onto the website.
What a fob off! :rotfl:0 -

Top advice, never listen to anything a kwik fit fitter has to say!!! Like others have said I wouldn't let them near a tonka toy let alone a real carEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Wouldn't go near them if it gave me 100% off.0 -
I'm curious, other than just saying "they're crap", specifically - what problems has anybody had?
I personally wonder if many garages actually do all the work they charge you for, and sometimes "invent" work that needs doing.
Exactly what is wrong with Kwikfit? I ask simply because I was about to book a service with them...
Ta!
