I am buying Victorian property in West of London and would like to do a deeper (than lender does) survey. Could anyone recommend me a good surveyor?

You could try Dunphy and Hayes. Qualified surveyors, and while I haven't use them for valuation type surveys I think they do them, and they are nice and professional.

Believe it or not, I faffed about for ages choosing a surveyor. Ran out of time. Googled surveyors.
This thing popped up in the top of google ads:
http://www.localsurveyorsdirect.co.uk/
I chose the second cheapest one, which had no website and a gmail addressm (which was very cheap indeed) and had my RICS qualified surveyor report in my inbox four working days later. It was a good one too.
I would normally run a mile from those things but there you go.0
