Tried SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING?
If thats no use then download rkill etc onto disc (or usb device, though bear in mind the usb device might get infected):idea:0 -
im useing a laptop down the stairs,
when i go into safe mode and try to run as administrator its asking for a password, which i dont know,
i have a copy of rkill on a disk in my own house,if all else fails i will go and get the disk.0 -
Your father in law doesnt know the admin password?
Youd be better of reinstalling the operating system and starting from scratch:idea:0 -
he said he has never used the admin password,(hes 70yrs old)and not very pc savvy.0

I agree with above. Reinstall the operating system from scratch. More simple. Hopefully hes backed up all his files.0
