probate interview next week

Hi all,
I was hoping that some of you may have had some experience with this to help give me an idea of how long it will take.
we are buying a house that is being sold through probate & the vendors have their interview with the probate office next week (we think) we have been advised by our solicitor & estate agent to wait before getting our searches & survey done so I was wondering how long the paperwork usually takes to come through after the interview so that we can get on with everything else.
any responses appreciated
thanks

Hi
I can't exactly remember, but i think i was given the probate certificates on the day of the interview.
but i would wait before doing anything until your solicitor has had sight of it.0 -
Should be within a week.0

We did Probate ourselves few years ago. Papers came through I think within about 3 weeks. Wasn't long at all. Maybe even bit quicker than that.0

The main part of the interview involves taking an oath to say the forms that are already filled in are telling the truth, then just double checking the details.
After that it varies a bit I think from area to area, but usually they say allow 10 working days for probate to arrive-if you can guess that the probate is taking place at a registry near you, then they probably have a website which might give you a clearer idea.0 -
Thanks for your replies it's just nice to know that it shouldn't be months before we get in there0
