We compiled a rubbish SoA, not having known about this site at the time, He had no income whatsoever, and I had only my pension. We left off 50% of the allowable expenses (and no one in authority advised us of this), and the outcome was we were assessed as having to repay £3,000 (of a very small initial debt) from my pension - even tho we are not married.
Just thought I'd mention it, as the information seem to be that the debts are wiped on declaring Bankruptcy - not the case!!!
I don't understand, all unsecured debts pre-bankruptcy are wiped clean.
Or is your problem that you had to pay an IPA for three years.
If this not the case , could you please enlighten us to what debt you had to repay.0 -
Moudlylocks - can you post up a new thread with the above information? We may be able to help and advise.
You certainly shouldn't be making payments towards your partner's bankruptcy. Unless you had joint debts and those have now fallen to you and you've come to an agreement to pay those off at £3k?
But you need your own thread to discuss this further. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
