Anyone know what the allowance is on mobile phones? Both myself and my husband are on contract phones so wondering how this will affect the SoA

Usually up to £60 but that would include your landline too.

If your contracts are too expensive you can include them in the BR as far as I know. Someone will have more knowledge of this.

After contacting sky yesterday our landline is 16.25

Mobiles are in contacts of £30 each, this is the minimum contract allowed for the phones we have so this is going to exceed greatly the allowance.... :o

When 'buying back' any equity in a property, are the owners of the property themselves the ones who can buy it back or does it have to be a 3rd party ie a family member

Have a read here, it suggests it can be either. :)

I also thought you had to declare them all and anything that wasn't declared could not be added after you file for BR

BR covers all unsecured debt whether it's listed or not on your forms, so if you do forget one don't worry, it's still included as a debt. DRO (and maybe IVA's?) only covers the ones that you list.

Glad to see you're feeling a bit happier with things.

i am much happier about things now thankyou, and on a plus have spoken with the IVA company and they are e-mailing me the list of creditors today :) so as soon as that comes through i can start to fill in the paperwork.

Just wanting to check tho before we can go BR we have to have defaulted/failed on the IVA for 3 months? before we can start any of the BR proceedings?

Also if i was to sell some household items that are just sat around and we're not really using, a clear out of the kids toy cupboard would prob fetch a couple of hundred lol if we were to do this to help raise the BR fees is this allowed?

That would depend on the T& C of his contract.

He would need to check the terms of his contract really. And I think alot depends what industry he works in.

My DH works for our local authority and we just phoned human resources in confidence and asked that question. Luckily they told him it was entirely his choice and he wasn't obliged to mention it :)
