Easyjet - Plastic Bag/Toiletries

Hi all, hope you are well.
First-time I will be travelling via easyjet tomorrow without using a hold bag and therefore, will need to place toiletries in a plastic bag for viewing...
Just wondering whether a block of soap has to go into the plastic bag or whether it can go into my bag to take onto the place as it isn't strictly a liquid...but I'm not sure
Also would this item be classed as liquid? http://www.amazon.co.uk/American-Crew-Fiber-85g/dp/B0014IQL1E
It's actually crew fiber but unsure how it would be classed too.
Another idea I had to save space was to use empty contact lens cases and just squeeze some toothpaste into a few of those to save some space as that's all that I would need but would this be allowed in the plastic bags too?
Many thanks for your help in advance.

I don't know the conclusive answer to your question, but I leave my tin of vaseline and lipstick in the non - plastic bag. IYSWIM.
If in doubt though just put them in the poly bag.0 -
This is quite a good way of getting answers from Easyjet too. I have used it in the past. http://getsatisfaction.com/easyjet0

One of the reviews refers to it as a 'wax' therefore it should go in the clear plastic bag ditto things like vasoline.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

It's all down to the airport security staff on the day and the goverment rules: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Publictransport/AirtravelintheUK/DG_078179
Best advice - if in doubt, put it on the bag. But.... make sure the containers are less than 100ml. Irrespective of the contents being less than 100ml, the container must be below the limit.
All liquids and semi-solids must go in the bag, and that includes lipstick, vaseline and your hair "fibres", as they seem to be "any other solutions and items of similar consistency"
And yes, you can decant the toothpaste. Alternatively, you can buy some at the airport post security and leave it behind when you arrive. Soap - hotels normally have this is the bathroom, together with shampoo and shower gel.0
