Me I moved on 17th November.
Was delayed 3 times and the last week was really horrible and stressful but I got there!! Moving day wasn't very nice either as I had to pay an extra £280 to the removal men for a 4 hour delay while funds went up the chain...
Anyway, sat in my lovely new house now and it was all worth it.
Good luck to anyone still plodding on, hope you get in before Christmas.0 -
I was meant to move last Friday but my buyers buyer had been dragging her heels re contracts etc so we couldnt get all ours signed. Then 4 days til moving day I got told there was a problem at my house that they ONLY had 8 WEEKS to tell me about! I was furious.
So furious infact that I phoned my sister that I was meant to be buying off and told her that was it - no more - and phoned my solicitor back and left the message that there was no longer any chain as I was no longer moving and staying where I was. She didnt even bother phoning me back!
Anyway, now my sister has decided that she still wants to move and to alleviate any further problems I can buy hers, and she will buy mine and let it out! That way we are all happy! I have only put on the condition that she fixes the problem that stopped the initial chain from moving - and she agreed!:D
Also means that by selling to my sister I won't have to pay any estate agent fees as she was obviously not introduced by the EA!:j"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!
