Excess Question
Example: My excess is set at £1,000. I have an accident with £200 worth of damage done to my car. As the excess is set at £1,000, I pay the £200 out of pocket. Would I have to pay the additional in £800 excess to repair the third party, or is excess only applied to my own vehicle?

excess only applies to your claim for damage to your car so in your example with £1k excess and £200 damage it's not worth claiming.
Watch out though as I think that recovery of your car after an accident plus storage charges & probably any inspections count towards the excess too but any third party claim doesn't count0 -
If your injured and it gets towed or recovered for any other reason you will get a large bill which you will have to pay for, Upto that £1000.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
