The 2 for £16 deal whats mentioned on the tags?

I saw some 2 for £16 but no mention of fosters on this :(

Its quite confusing.. there are some A4 size 2 for £16 signs, they are the current offers.. Look for the smaller A5 (?) ones, still states 2 for £16 but the expiry date for the offer was 12/12 and the Fosters is listed on this one..

    Hope that made sense..

I have just got back from 'my rounds' and this is what I have to report.

Store 1 - Large Moet banner outside with £15.94 - no stock since Tuseday!
Store 2 - Just checking the Games section and a manager whizzes past me
and takes down a poster for the PS2's going on about something
should not be £24.XX. I did not get to see what game he was
referring to, but it might be of some help to someone else to have
    a look.
Store 3 Tiger Woods Golf for the PSP , stickered £19.94, sel and scanned at
£29.xx. I didn't want it, but again there is probably more out there.
Store 4 Found 2 A5 sels for £2 for £16.00, helped myself to 2 cases of
Stella. At CS desk a duty manager 'served' me and was a right
piece of hard work with all the attitude that we hate on this
thread. He insisted I could not have purchased this offer as there
was a new one (as we know) and I insisted he went to find the
sel's. I did NOT trust him and went with him. When he saw the sel
he said 'oh that doesn't matter its an out of date offer and those
sort of sels don't count for anything'? Then he asked where I had
picked up the stock from, when I showed him he said 'I should have
seen the 3 for £20 and paid that'! When I showed him the second
sel, he had to admit defeat but was still chuntering on so I
mentioned Trading Standards and how they would interepret out of
date sels as meaning nothing. He took it all in very bad light and
it was not a good aspect of Tesco customer service, especially
coming from a manager. I did have a very good morning with Boots
glitches and vouchers, so not a bad mornings work if I have to
    admit it.
DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!

I don't think being a Tesco employee is anything to be proud of. It's not like you need much intelligence to work in a supermarket. Have you ever been into ASda at night when they're filling the shelves? It's full of "released back into the community people" - to work for asda you dont go for an interveiw - they call it an "Audition" and that's why it's one big pantomime!
I'm still hunting for an R&R turkey to complete my free Christmas dinner!

Nominated for most insulting post of the year.

Puddings, i suggest that you actually meet the people and talk to them before lumping them all into the "care in the community" basket.

Personally by making the above post i think that you have shown yourself to be a complete snob as well as exceptionally small minded. I know many people that work for Tesco not because the have to but because they want to. Saying that it doesnt take much intelligence to work in a supermarket shows nothing but ignorance for what actually happens. Strangely enough there are more jobs than filling shelves or pushing trolleys.

Oh well, another one for the ignore list.

  • i wasnt having a pop mate, to be honest it makes no odds to me what they pay, as i wouldn't ever consider a job as a GA, although a friend did tell me my local Extra were recruiting Dept. Managers again:rolleyes:

i just think that in general retailers can on occasion scrape the barrel in terms of staff quality, purely because the wage levels are so poor. many moons ago i worked for halfords as a 'GA' before working my way up. i know lads running shops as keyholders and asst managers on £13k. in the big wide world this is disgusting really, and it does not surprise me when you look at staff quality overall.

    rant over!!!

I also used to "work" for halfrauds installing hands free kits (badly) and then removing them again when theuy broke

I think i earned a pittance considering i could do 2 an hour @ £100 a time, take into account my 40% tax rate  didnt work out to be much

Mind probably still more than the keyholder mugs on 13k :rotfl:

  • Just arrived in Northern Ireland for a few days, gone to the local T and seen that there is a promo with XBOX and a game giving £20 discount. Is anyone aware of any problems yet?
Also will this discount come off the bundle with pes6 and a game?
I would try myself but missed the flight last night and had to pay an extra £250 to get here.
    Gutted.

  • Anyone else feeling utterly depressed after reading through all of these new posts and still seeing the same drivel by that tesco guy?

    Yawn :D

I think sadly this is all going to have to go underground :o
Some may miss out but its for the good of our survival that we do it.
