icecubequeen i wouldn't build your hopes up, they checked everyones ticket in 1st class as soon as they got onto the train, think its because of the freebies that you get along with the other extras.
i am wishing you luck, fingers crossed x x0 -

I emailed the link to my friend in Sheffield after I applied for mine and hers came two weeks ago!!
I dont think they send them out close to the travel date as I recall someone on the board got theirs a week or two ago and the travel date is not until March!
Im still keeping my fingers crossed tho
I just got my tickets for travel on 12 March through yesterday but i would say you have a good chance of getting them if you did not get the email from them.
Fingers crossed that you get your tickets soon."I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. Travel tickets can not be transferred so I guess Ebay won't accept the sale. I tried to sell a surplus ticket in the local newspaper but they wouldn't accept the ad for the same reason.0 -
Received mine this morning for mid March. Returning the next morning but the time I've been given is a lot earlier than I'd have liked. Mustn't grumble![FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]

Hi all,
Well i've received a ticket, sadly it's none of the dates i asked for, not even my 3rd choice! - I asked for dates and journeys i do actually have to travel on but no joy. I only wanted one seat too
So i shall have to purchase my tickets trouble is the fare for my date is now showing over £200! - I may have to fly though i'm going to Watford lovvvl
Well done all who have received ones they can use

Hello you lovely MSErs!
I got my two tickets but on a date that is no good for me unfortunately. As I got them from here, I am returning them to you all. I tried to put them on ebay, but apparently there is a byelaw that prevents the sale of railway tickets unless you are the actual rail company.
The details are Euston- Edinburgh (Haymarket) via Birmingham on Sat 27th Jan and returning on Monday 29th Jan via Carlisle.
This would make a lovely weekend away. I will put this on the freebies board too and will post the tickets off to the most deserving MSE. Please PM me if you would like them. I think thats the fairest way.
By the way, if you are coming from the south, south west trains are currently offering 2 for 1 travel, so the journey to London could be even cheaper.

My mams surname was on the seat reservation screen above the seats though. and when you apply for the tickets it asks how many people are traveling...1 or 2 but it doesn't ask for the other persons name, the staff were really nice though so shouldn't have any probs
it does say that ID may be asked for though....knowing my luck I would get the inspector that does check.....lol0 -
