I have a 16 months 0% Balance Transfer available. I have 3 months 0% Purchases.
I want to purchase something to ensure the card is working properly befor I do a blance transfer as this is a Barclaycard and I heard too many stories on here re cancelling.
Question is this can I make a purchase befor I use the balance transfer option and still qualify for the balance transfer or should I do the balance transfer first, sorry if this is basic cc use but would like to avoid a massive palava with my banks creditcard if Barclaycard decide to cancel on me whilst processing my first action, a balance transfer.
Edit:Clarity of question.

If the BT is the priority, then i'd advise that you do that first. Once completed, you can purchase a bagel for peace of mind!0

Still looking to find an answer please...
I know the balance transfer is the priority, but is their an order that you have to stick too ??0 -
No order you have to stick to - but the BT offer will only be available for a fairly short period from opening the account. No problem if you do a purchase first providing your BT is still within that time.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Did you give details of the cards you want to BT from when you were applying? I got one of these cards and Barclaycard did the BT automatically without me having to do a thing.250

Why don't you just do the balance transfer? If it doesn't work it doesn't work! No harm done. The existing card company won't even know you tried. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
