I went to Lidl today as I thought they would have bedding plants in store but an ill mannered assistant told me it would be on Thursday and carried on reading his paper. Then, I went to Morrisons and was pleased as punch to find they have a really good selection. I bought a tray of Petunia and one of Busy Lissie
(2 for £3 or £2 each) with 6 or 8 plants in each tray, and I also bought a tray of Surfinia at £2.99.

I have never known Morrisons to do plants in these packs before.

I bought 3 (all different varieties) from Morrisons in March, and they all seem to be doing well so far. Very happy as I have a bad track record with clematis.

Yes, planted out asap. One is lovely and thriving from day one and the other 2 just shrivelled immediately. Can't remember the varieties but the thriving one said something about a duck. I think.

    Just looked online.....it's 'Little Duck'.

The two that died were a similar pink one and a purple one, their names escape me.

I have a bit of a clematis obsession and we must have had at least 7 different named varieties from Morrisons and they have all grown really well. I'm a particular fan of (something Polish)...Nike is it and Niobe. :)

The ones I have bought in the past have always grown well.
I think these days gardeners are advised to plant them deep
    to avoid clematis wilt.
