Heat Detector keep beeping

I have a heat detector put on my kitchen celing which is connected to the mains. Not sure if it has a batter as well. For the last few weeks, every few days it starts beeping every few minutes till i 'hush' it and then it resets. I thought it might be the battery but i dont think it has a battery.

Any thoughts?

Can I suggest you check whether it has a replaceable battery or not?

If it has a replaceable battery fitted, then change it for a new one.

Report back if this doesn't cure the problem.

Alternatively, if you told us the make and model someone may be better able to say what the problem is.

Even if it is a mains powered system, it will have battery back up. The beep is telling you that the back up battery is dead. Take it down and change the battery.
