I think that was a good trade.
I agree to an extent but until America stops the hypocrisy it practices around the world then there will always be wars. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter and who are we to judge.
America is not the home of freedom and democracy, look at how their elections are rigged. Its money that matters in America, if you have the money you control policy.Don't do as we do, do as we say and thats America in a nutshell.....
Its very dangerous to under estimate "a bunch of people with improvised explosive devices, kalashnekovs and a lot of rhetoric". France and America both did in Indo-China in the 50's " especially with so many nuclear weopons that have gone missing from the old Soviet block.
Americans on the whole are very insular, the vast majority have never been outside of the States and wouldn't be able to name 3 European Capital Cities. At least the Chinese and Russians travel around the world and take a look at other cultures......
Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad Bin Ladens dead but personally I think George W Bush has a lot to answer for along with a few other US Presidents.........If the news headlines were "George W Bush shot dead by terrorists" would there be uproar around the world apart from in the States? Probably not.....0 -

Usually in the back of a lorry ending up as a cleaner or working in a Chinese takeaway in Swansea...............0 -
I don't buy this Bin Laden news story. Rick's flat mate (Mike the cool one) reckons Osama has been holed up in Washington for the last couple of years.

Yeah, just been told by someone else it was used then but I think I must have missed it in all the Diana hysteria.
Does seem strange that there's no image, perhaps, the Yanks are still putting it all together for release.shortchanged wrote: »Or getting their computer wizard boffins to do some of their magic.
Probably photoshopping out the fact that he was felching a camel when he was shot.0 -

It certainly is.
My own mate down the pub is a fisherman, and he's apparently always throwing a bin laden with over-fished perfectly good, but dead, cod into the sea - to comply with EEC rules.
I understand that the CIA are to mark May 1st as "Bin Laden Memorial Day". They will mark the exact spot where he went overboard, and invite all sympathisers to go there once a year on a pilgramage. US submarines will then torpedo the cr4p out of them.
Anyway, I assume they will announce a new leader before too long. Let's hope he publishes a new mission statement and at the very least, hold a press conference to announce to the News Readers around the world how to pronounce "Al Qaeda".0 -

Did he really die a "martyr's death"?
No, he died trying to use one of his wives as a shield. I suppose he should have married a bigger wife.
A coward to the end.0 -
