I bank with HBOS

I have several direct debits and standing orders set up for the 1st of month.

I checked my account yesterday and these did not come out (assume because it was a Sunday) Although when I re-checked this morning I was still surprised to see none of these had left my account.

Is this because today is a bank holiday so they will come out tomorrow? x

    Yes, none of mine, from various banks, have been paid either (as expected).

    Ok, I just assumed because its all done electronically there would be no delay. At least I now know for future bank holidays.

    Assuming anything where banks are concerned isn't recommended. ;)

    Weekends & bank holidays are good excuses for the banks to hold onto your hard-earned cash for a bit longer.
