Hi y'all
Spent some money today but it's not all bad- mended some kitchen fittings that had come apart
- did more gardening stuff
- went to the tip with rubbish
- worked 45mins for a care company as emergency bank relief and met a very interesting guy who used to be a gunner on WW2 war ships. Helped him get washed and dressed, a privilege to work with
- did a lot of boring cleaning - but house looks good (for the next 5mins anyway)
- looked at DFW site an spent a while trying to give positive feedback to a new poster who is also a single parent like me an struggling
- checked for surveys but none today
-

Just saved myself £50 by dying my own hair instead of getting it done at the hairdressers - I used the new mousse type of dye and its much easier and less messy than the other types. I think it was a fiver from Mr T's.
I have been sceptical about doing it myself but it seems it was a success! Would recommend it - Sublime Mousse by L'Oreal. Worth a go!0 -
Good afternoon everyone, It has been a long time since I logged into this site, as it has been hectic.
Latest news is that I am pregnant and EDD is 11th June, due to the problems with DS I have to be under consultant care got my first appointment next week.
I have also moved house and now in a semi rural location with a small school for DS.
DH has started a new job today after being unemployed for 8 months.
Wow! New house, job, school, baby - that's fantastic!WelshWoofer wrote: »Just saved myself £50 by dying my own hair instead of getting it done at the hairdressers - I used the new mousse type of dye and its much easier and less messy than the other types. I think it was a fiver from Mr T's.

Thanks Welsh, I've been trying to pluck up the courage to do mine so may give that a try!
Very lazy day, dug windbreak out of garage rafters and made a wee cocoon in the garden to get out of this cold wind that's ruining the beautiful days here.
Took dog to beach & he had a whale of a time pinching others dogs balls etc.
Took an old duvet and put it in the windbreak nest, he curled up on there while I read a book with one of the cats on my knee - heavenly! (Cheeks are feeling a bit warm now tho').Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
