3 times with meals + one at night. I take the night time dose of the tablets the same time as I take the insulin, it's more the morning dose I forget.

Does this mean you take it with breakfast? Could you take your anti-seizure medication at the same time?
I know some people need their epilepsy medication at specific times due to the medication they're taking and how tightly controlled their epilepsy is whereas many people (like me) just need to take two doses spread out rather than (for example) every 12 hours on the dot.

So if you don't need to take them at tightly controlled times it could work for you if you took them with your first and last doses of insulin each day.

I'd seen daily ones but not weekly ones, a weekly one would be useful because I'd then have a means of checking if I'd taken the tablets that day or not. I'll have a look next time I'm at a chemist, thanks for the idea.

I currently write down when I take my painkillers: there's one which is twice a day, after food, no closer than 8 hours apart and ideally not more than 12 hours apart. Easier when I'm at work and getting up at the same time each day than over long weekends! But I also take paracetamol, and don't wish to overdose ...

but a phone reminder is what I use when it's antibiotics.

Do you have a home bargains near you? That's where I got mine from for 49p! They had a 3 or 4 different types / sizes I think the dearest were 99p. They were on a lower shelf in the section where they have vitamins and cold remedies etc.

Yes that would be a good idea, but I frequently skip breakfast and eat unhealthy things on the commute to work!

I've no idea how tightly controlled the times need to be. tbh I don't even know if they are certain it is epilepsy, all the tests (EEG, CT scan) were negative, so I don't know what to think, I got a book about epilepsy and it mentions non-epileptic seizure disorder so I don't know why they are ruling that out. I've also no idea how I am meant to tell if the tablets are working or not, the seizures were very rare anyway and the 'auras' (I think they are called?) are so unspecific and the seizure so short I don't think I would always know if I had had one!

But at least the tablets don't appear to be giving me side effects and I'm at 3/4 of the final dose now, so hopefully they will continue to be OK.

I picked up my pillbox in Poundland, 7 removeable little containers in a plastic frame each with 4 daily sections, Morn, Noon, Eve and Bed.

The portable nature means I can put into a pocket or a bag and be reminded often what I need to take :)
  • I take 15 different medications 3 of them for epilepsy and have a shot to pieces memory, realy on mrs woodbine to remind me,also use a box with them laid out daily a week at a time

I don't have any problems remembering the insulin, so I don't know why tablets are so much harder to remember!

Not really a good idea to skip breakfast and eat unhealthy things on the commute. As a diabetic you should be eting regular balanced meals.

The medicine boxes from Poundland are great.
