Hi all,
I can display YouTube straight to the TV via:
1) An iPhone plugged in.
2) A Wii.
However, does anyone know how to do this via:
1) An Android phone such as the Dell Streak
2) A PC, e.g. via Windows Media Player using DNLA?
Thanks

I would suppose it depends on your TV and if it is DLNA compliant.
You could plug the PC into the TV and do it that way if it is not DLNA compliant. I don't think you can play youtube through media player though. My blu-ray drive is connected to my network and I can get youtube on it so I can do it that way as well.
As for the Android phone, you'll need a DLNA app (again, assuming your TV is DLNA compliant). I use iMediaShare which is free and works well.0 -
You could buy an internet enabled TV with youtube app.0

Hi all, we're living with just making use of the iPhone mainly as it can stream YouTube to TV. The only problem with that is that I have to get up every now and then YouTube videos are in chunks of about 10-15 minutes. Also, the iPhone will display it in widescreen.
The Wii won't display widescreen although it works fine also.0 -
BTW, shame the Dell Streak can't stream to TV even though it comes with HDMI cable (well until they released their 2.2. upgrade when it renders the HDMI inoperable!).0

Can you tell a Wii newbie how you watch YouTube through your TV via the Wii please?

You could build a decent home theatre PC (HTPC), and put all the applications on it that you will ever want.0

Or buy an NMT that won't cost anywhere near what it costs for another PC (both in hardware and running costs). You could build a decent home theatre PC (HTPC), and put all the applications on it that you will ever want.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
