Hi im not really good with this so please bear with me
We moved into this house 3 years ago ( 2 bedroom house)and it had prepaid meters so we just stuck with them
Ive just had a letter from npower saying the pirces are changing and in the next 12 months this is what we will be paying based on the last 12 months usage. we have electric with them too
question 1. Should we change to normal meters and get the bonus at the end of the year etc
question 2 . This is are predicted gas cost , dos it seem ok to you
units p/Kwh ex vat Amount
13,319 3.006 £400.37
Annual standing charge £137.24
Total gas charges £537.61
Vat £ 26.88
Total predicted gas next 12 months £564.49
question 3 . It it easy to do the meter readings and how often do you do it to make sure you arent ever paying too much etc
Sorry for all the questions but as this was our first house we have only eve had the prepay meters
Ohh and i put approx £20 on each every 10-12 days, building the gas up for the winter but the electricity uses about that

If you can switch to a credit meter and don't mind paying monthly by direct debit then go for it. I would read the meter as often as you want monthly maybe. I'm a bit anal with it at the moment and read them weekly. I'm entering the readings into an online tracking tool so it's easier to do it every Monday at the same time. http://ebico.imeasure.org.uk/index.php
"approx £20 on each every 10-12 days." £55 per month per fuel is quite high. I'd get shopping around you might find that Npower is not the cheapest.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
