well even better - went thru topcashback & Aviva had pulled their discount but More Than were giving 35.35 so I've ended up with a policy cheaper than Aviva & double (£7000) the cover for the length of treatment - works out at £10.99 p.m0

The main difference is that LV is cover for 12mths from diagnosis £5000, or Aviva are quoting unlimited treatment period, either £1500 or £3500. I'm tempted to go with the basic Aviva policy but worry that £1500 is too little - I know its all a guessing game.
Neither of those are for life policies. Unlimited treatment period still means that the amount paid out in total would be limited to £1500 or £3500 over the whole lifetime of the petYou need a policy that tops up the amount you can claim every year.
Is more than for life? It wasnt the last time I argued with them?
Just checked it out, Im afraid that the £7000 is the TOTAL they will pay out for a condition in the whole lifetime of the pet. It may be in most cases that would be sufficient but for ongoing chronic conditions or major surgery it wouldnt.
