Hi all,
recently moved to Diss and wondered if there are any good car boots in the area? Went to the Banham one last Sunday and it was ok but not that big. I know there was supposed to be a big one in Thetford on the same day so maybe that was why. Wondered if anybody knows of any others. I hear there is one in Woolpit but not sure if it is a big one. OH only wants to go to big ones (will moan if I get him up early to go to one and there's not much there!!!). I've looked in the local paper but can't see much. Thanks in advance for any responses.

 Many thanks for that, will be too late today but will tell OH and venture up there. What time does it open do you know?0 -
There's a big one at Fordham near Newmarket, which obviously isn't in Norfolk but if you fancy a bit of a drive...

Thanks for that, it's not too far from us really, maybe 40 mins. Went to the Arminghall one today and I didn't think it was that big, OH and son were not impressed!!!0 -
hey there boo1
arminghall is usually a fab one to go to...i went today and it wasn't that big, usually on a sunday the field is full and sometimes it spills into the carpark so don't be put off from todays experience...and it was very windy so that puts folk off...i usually venture there most sundays...i'm not far from Diss either, and i've got some well good stuff, kessingland is a good one aswell, i went there sunday and the field was packed...again it was well windy but come the more sunny weather these 2 will be very big (btw...i use to go to banham, but since they started charging to get in i've not bothered)...i defo recommend armingham everytime....hope this helps

Thanks Pinkclanger, you probably saw a miserable bloke and 7 year old waslking around with their eyes screwed up against the dust!!!! I was trying to be jolly but to be honest I thought the stalls were crap - although I will say we didn't get there til 10ish. Just as well really as if I had got them both up at 6.30am.... well it doesn't bear thinking about :rotfl:. I will try it again (very more likely on my own no doubt) and will also try Kessingland. Will have to look on map as not sure where it is in relation to here. If you think of anymore please let me know. My sister has said Woolpit is a good one (but she hates car boots so can't really take her word as gospel) - have you been there??0

Woolpit one is good, very busy, if you're prepared to travel that distance, i would also recommend the one at Needham Lakes on Saturday morning. Also very busy and popular. If you head to the end of the A140 and take the 2nd exit off the roundabout towards Needham market, you can't miss it.0

Many thanks PremierLeague Canary, my sister lives near Woolpit so no hardship to drive there, will only take about half an hour from here. Will also try the one at Needham Lakes. I just love car boots and always get excited (sad I know) at the prospect of getting a fantastic bargain!!! I usually end up with books and not much else but I do live in hope. :beer:0
