Hello Michelle. I only know of two, but they are on Sunday 1 May. There is a teeny one (10-15 stalls) just as you step off the train at Saltburn-by-the-Sea. That one starts at 9.30am and is pretty much cleared by noon. It is free to browse. And there is a BIG boot sale at Redcar racecourse, which is 5 minutes walk from Redcar rail station. That one opens at 1.30 pm and costs 70p to enter (although I do believe there is an earlier entry at a higher price).

Is there anything near you on https://www.nobles-promotions.co.uk ?
  • Hi Michelle, There is a huge Car Boot on at Stokesley (at Stokesley Showground) - which is only on Bank Holidays. It starts about 9.30 am. If you go up the A172 Stokesley Road, you eventually come to a roundabout with a Strikes Garden Centre to your left, go left at the roundabout (not into the garden centre) and follow the road - at this point you should be in a traffic queue. The turning for the showground is on the right hand side and is off the A172, and there will be a person in a dayglo jacket directing the traffic. This car boot is really huge, but there are no sign posts to it. If you get lost - just ask a local as Stokesley is a small village. I think it costs 60p to get in. Dogs are allowed, but sensible footwear is advisable as it is a bumpy field.

There is Sedgefield Racecourse which is on tomorrow (2nd May), it is a morning car boot, but beware if you are too early you will be charged a 2 or 3 quid premium to enter - I think it is 1 quid after 11.

The other one I frequent is the Redcar one - just follow signs to Redcar, and then for the Racecourse. It opens at 1.30, costs 70p to get in. Be aware it is really popular and there is often quite a large people queue to get in (about 25 mins a couple of weeks ago).

I will be going to Stokesley, and then to the Redcar carboot. Will fill in a full day and hopefully will pick up a few bargains.
