Tesco Price Checker Thread #8

myalphabetgirls wrote: »Because its been my choice to squeeze maximum from my original cash outlay whilst accruing cc points and using item specific coupons/conditional spends towards the purchase. For example, an original voucher of £34 (pre cap dtd) would have been used again to buy other items, and maybe giving a voucher back of a capped £20, which may have been used to pay towards 3 meal deals which resulted in another voucher for £17.79. I have then targetted other items which I would buy (or wish to accrue a stash of) resulting in vouchers of around £8. Eventually my vouchers will be reduced to even smaller amounts but as I see it whilst the promotion is there I will use it. Not everyone will see the sense or the benefit but thats my prerogative.
Additionally I have lots of smaller wombled ones of around £2-3 and will use these as one offs for top-up shops as I need.Still dont understand why you need to produce a voucher when dtd is overWhy would you want to buy this to produce a voucher if you didnt want the chocolate orange from asda in the first place. Am i missing something
Right, I apologise in advance for the multi-quoted post but its Monday, its p***ing down here and Ive got to walk LO to school, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and because there is a "y" in the name of the day but for goodness sake Candy222 - you asked these repetative questions back in June and probably before (too bored to check back further). I would suggest you are probably logging in to look at the wrong threads on MSE seeing that you haven't yet embraced the Asda/Tesco price guarantee.
Im already posting less and less on MSE these days and will probably get flamed for this particular post but to be honest I no longer care!
And for your eyes Candy222 - not only myself but Czerniacha, Caz2703 and Antrobus have all given very clear, concise, helpful, friendly advice on your endless posts saying pretty much the same thing.
I don't think I have ever been cheesed off enough to post my frustration towards individual posts on here before but !!!!!!... enough already!
Edited: Actually I see that my post is not as long (multi-quote) as I had planned. Must have got lost in my frustrating key strokes. However, in a nutshell - if anyone cares to look back - 22 June 2011 - then this was all "discussed" to within an inch of its life then and here we all are - full circle.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

First of all you dont have to be so rude i asked a question if you dont want to answer it then so be it, but i am sure a lot more helpful people would give a more useful and helpful reply. With regards to my question i am beggining to get the picture and from the way you have responded to me and looking at posts you have made in the past i can see what you are up to your not kidding anyone
Well, personally, I find that someone asking the same question over and over when it's already been answered to be equally rude Candy.
I'm not sure exactly what you are alluding to when you say "i am beggining to get the picture" (sic). Please could you expand on this.
In this post Myalphabetgirls answered your very same question with this response:
I have been keeping my vouchers going (on a smaller scale since demise of dtd) and had quite a few of the meal deals (3 of which gave you a £17.79 voucher back). As time goes by the value of the vouchers reduces and more cash is required but I am still getting my points in addition. Whilst I can I will still try and keep vouchers going until the promotion is pronounced officially dead in the water.
If you don't understand her explanation then asking for some specific elaboration on whatever point eludes you is the way to go - not just repeating the question. TBH I'm another person who is confused by your continuing to read a thread which you are still having trouble understanding, perhaps you need to broaden your horizons a bit. The Arms can be entertaining, maybe have a look there??
Anyway good luck Candy, pricecheck dtd is over, we all know that, but I'm all for letting those who are happy to use it for jtd get on with it, why can't you?
It's only a game

Also remember tescos in Dundee are clamping down on missuse off price checker?0 -
First of all i do not have trouble understanding i can see from your posts why you have a need for tescos price check vouchers. And with regards to broaden my horizons we both know why you have to be rude it is because you dont want to start anymore threads regarding missuse of price check[ we both know why that is i dont need to say anymore] just remember Tescos are smaerter than you think.
I've not seen this thread before and thought I'd have a quick glance. I get what it's all about and think it's a great idea - it took about 5 seconds to figure it out. I'd just give up Candy222 if you don't get it, I think you're boring everyone with your posts!0 -

I can't believe I spent time writing an all encompassing post to explain the JTD vouchers when you say you already understand. If you understand then there is no necessity to keep asking the question over and over.0 -

Candy222 - are you on some sort of bizarre solitary mission?
When 'DTD' finished, to be honest I didn't think I could be bothered with 'JTD', or see very much benefit in it. However, I live 25 miles from an Asda & thanks to the Posters here I began to see that factoring in petrol, coupons & points, I could still make it work for me on certain items.
I'm very grateful to all those Posters, you seem to be attacking, for posting their finds.
Candy222 - if you can't get your head round it, can't be a***d, are reading other things into it, or are on a mission - then why don't you just stop reading & ruining this thread & invest your energies elsewhere! No MSE projects are compulsary - if it's not for you - don't participate - simples!!!0 -
First of all i do not have trouble understanding That's good, but why would you keep asking people then?
i can see from your posts why you have a need for tescos price check vouchers. You can see from MY posts?? I've looked back a couple of months' worth and don't get what you mean, maybe you would be so kind as to explain some more, thanks.
And with regards to broaden my horizons we both know why you have to be rude -This wasn't rude, it was a mild suggestion that you might find better use of your time on other things.
it is because you dont want to start anymore threads regarding missuse of price check[ we both know why that is i dont need to say anymore] just remember Tescos are smaerter than you think.
So let me get this right? You keep asking people why they use pricecheck because you want them to do what... admit to "missuse of pricecheck"? And because no one will say they do you just keep asking the same stuff. Jeez think about it... do you honestly think someone would admit to it here anyway? Are you unaware of the stick Henlans got??
If you want to accuse someone of doing this then just grow up and come out with instead of asking the same boring question like a whiny child would do.Also remember tescos in Dundee are clamping down on missuse off price checker?
Tescos in Dundee? Which store? If you mean their Head Office, I believe this is in Cheshunt.
ETA: I've just read this back and believe that read from a particular angle you could assume that, because I denied nothing I condone reuse of pc vouchers. This is not the case, I'd hate for my actions to spoil it for those who live far from an Asda and benefit from A's cheaper prices through PC so I don't do it, and would not encourage anyone else to do so. (just incase you read too much into it there Candy)
