Tesco Price Checker Thread #8

hi girls
sorry nothing to do with pricecheck but remember the milk well its getting very nasty on praise vent board and i don't know how to get thread closed, anybody got any ideas
thanks in advance
Hi Almond,
Ive just read through your "vent" thread and am appalled at the unhelpfulness and downright nastiness given in response. If I were you I would not read any more for it is likely to upset you.
At the beginning of the grabbit board there is a sticky from the forum manager who invites you to contact him/her by email if the tone of a thread turns nasty. I think you're first point of contact would be that. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2423401
About your milky dilemma - having had a few run-ins with Tesco myself over the years and having hit & miss responses personally I would just get myself some carpet shampoo and deal with the pong myself but I can fully understand why you wanted to post and vent.
I think the problem with forum posting is that something in our modern-day pyschi inviegles us into thinking that we are all "friends" on here. Sadly a lot of these friendships are transient and built on sand and the flip side again is that there are just as many mean spirited people as in real life but they find it easy and compelling to type a sarky comment and not given the person behind the user name a single thought whereas in the real world they are probably cowards and would not dream of saying such a thing to someone. Its hard to ignore them but its the best thing. I am sure you remember that this thread has turned nasty on several occasions but at the moment its a pleasant place to be
On another note...
I rearranged my stash at the weekend and had a bootsale and got rid of my "maggies" , finish starter kits (all free with recent £5 voucher); huggies starter kits; ariel stain remover (from recent jtd) bottles of flash when they worked out free with a £1 voucher and cat meat sachets (when Asda recently had a twin pack of oh-so-fishy (24 pouches) for £3 - I sold the pouches separately for 20p each. All legitimately obtained from either dtd/jtd or coupon/offer combo, 50% of my proceeds go to MIND which is a charity close to my heart and in memory of someone very special to me so am feeling very pleased with myself at the moment and I still have a great stash of lots of non perishables. Thanks Tesco (oh, and Asda too).
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Just in from work and I have received emails for both the receipts I submitted last wednesday!! About time too Mr T!
I just hope all those who are waiting to hear from last week have got theirs too.
It's only a game

Only got one of the 2 but it was the bigger RTD one so I guess I shouldn't complain.0

Just a quick update re temporary clubcards. I registered the three I used during the promo and now have 3 shiny new clubcards with quite a few points on them. HTH0

You just take the receipt to Customer Services and present it together with your clubcard. They scan both and it's all done in a matter of seconds.lindseykim13 wrote: »Also does anyone mind telling me the best way of combining the price checker and unclaimed points, can you add the points at cs and then keep the reciept for price checker or the other way around?
I don't think it matters either way. The only thing I would say is that if you do get a TPC voucher on the receipt, i's probably best to get the points added at CS first, before presenting the voucher at the checkout, simply because a lot of SAs like to keep the receipt these days.0 -

hi
i actually do it the other way round
i use the receipt with the APG voucher first
i tell the SA i need to keep the recipt because i haven't had my CC points redeemed and they can write on it but nowhere near the barcode otherwise CS may get shirty about it
99.9% of the time its not been a problem, only once or twice I have been a bit stressed with my son and forgot to tell the SA not to sign at the bottom and they scribbled through the barcode meaning useless for CC points. On one occasion I did take t straight to Cs and explained what had happened.
I worry that if i do it the other way roundthe Sa at the till may get confused if I have used the voucher before or not if it receipt is scribbled onGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
Ahhh....just found this thread and glad it isn't just me waiting for a price check back. Put in a (wombled) receipt on Sat and still no reply - can't reinput as it's now older than 28days (don't ask how a recipt from June came to be in the car park, I really have no idea myself).
myalphabetgirls - you have just solved a mystery for me though, last time I did a car boot a lady not far from me was selling some kind of Finish kits. I did wonder where she got them all from...now I think I knowFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I def agree with comments from myalphabetgirls, you poor thing i've just read the vents thread -mean nasty comments such as those are totally unnecessary and out of the etiquette of this forum. I have been on the recieving end of vicious comments that at times have reduced me to tears -i agree that you should liase with the forum mods and report every single post you find upsetting, don't tell them you've reported it though(advice i got from mods last time i had problems ) as its upsets the peeps even more.
Hope your ok and big hugs xx
can anybody help
I am sat in tears just been on the thread again expecting it to be closed but its not , i have sent about 5 emails yesterday asking for them to close it, but had no reply. Its getting really bad now , making fun about my driving etc , i had been a member for years and never had this always thanks yous, why i posted ? well never again. Does anybody had any ideas how to get the thread closed
i have posted and told them to leave me alone but reckon i should'nt have done since they will now be enjoying knowing they are upsetting me.0 -
almond, is it worth reporting some of those posts as abuse? Then a mod will surely look at the thread and probably make the decision to close it. Just a thought.0
