I entered around 30 wombled receipts into price checker last night (8th) and they've all come back today (9th) all with appropriate emails. Very pleased, a total of £19.17 in just-the-difference vouchers, the best being £5.05 (a single item receipt for a beef joint), the lowest £1.60. Also had 218 points added on from ones where no clubcard used.

Have a similar amount from Asda wombling the last few days.
    Well done Myalphabetgirls!!

Thankyou! Was just making the point that there are good days when wombling. I have also had crap days when Ive not even found a receipt with enough items on it. With OH overtime cut completely compared to last year, and unable to find suitable hours myself, I consider my wombling a huge supplement. I do often think, as I traipse around the car park, "is this what my life has come to?" lol but I keep plodding on, and some days am rewarded with nice juicy vouchers. It really helps keep food on the table and stress levels lower and its also quite addictive and gives me a non-chocolate induced high! lol.

All with the same date on and using the same email address?

It worries me putting more than 3 or 4 into the system at once :D

I have a notebook with around 20-30 "disposable" email addresses that I use for various competitions, newsletters and price-check and I insert 10 receipts in price checker that give me a return, make a note of them in my book, then start the next email addresss. By the time the next calendar month comes round they are ready to be used again. Ive been doing this since APG came into effect and have had no problems. Mhoc you need to develop a thicker skin, go for it I say. Its doubtful unless you're really really lucky to find an apg that gives over a tenner (I have once, it was a gert-lush feeling I can tell you!), most of them average around £2 - so would take a lot to take you over the £100 per calendar month household limit. As with the Tesco price checker it is quite an ambiguous system and again similar to Tesco you don't even have to have a valid email. Go on Mhoc, hope next time you post you've found some biggies and have input them all!

I think the trolley wranglers at my local Mr T must all be wombles.

In all the months I have been looking I have only ever found one receipt - and that was just for a sandwich!
  • Have you checked out the shrubbery around your store Andrea? Some of my best wombled finds have been attached or wrapped around flora & fauna around the perimeter of the carparks. Check out the "windy corner" of your T or A carpark - you'll find on a nice breezy day they whip across the tarmac like tumbleweeds and if you're lucky you can dodge & weave the litter-picker guys and get to them first. lol.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I'm still waiting for 2 from last Wednesday. I resubmitted the one I know has rtd on it again yesterday after altering the time. No email yet.

On another note it seems that instore DTD is still alive and well! Got free supernoodles as the bogof signage was still up :D. Not that great, but something to add to DS1's box for when he goes back to uni in September.

    It's only a game

I dream of scruffy untidy carparks with receipts wafting around but all the Asda stores and Tesco I can get to are scrubbed clean. I did manage a good handful at an Asda a few weeks ago but when I went through them only 6 had more than 8 items or more and sadly none of them produced a APG. I have got fingers crossed for 2 receipts from the weekend from Tesco producing a JTD though :T
I think I do slightly better wandering around Sainsburys car parks for till spits and receipts :D

I'm waiting and waiting for tesco price-check to issue my vouchers.... so much for the 36 hour promise!

I am beginning to suspect that they do this on purpose because the longer it takes to turn a receipt round etc the fewer people will use the system. A tactic from Tesco?

    hi
i used to post when dtd was on and i need help this is what has just happened to me been asked to leave tesco

    hi
will keep this brief but i need your help and support
7th july went to tesco eaglescliffe go milk toilet rolls and nappy sacks
self scan nappy sacks came up at wrong price
so had call over phil we both went and looked and tesco had put the wrong one behind price tag , was told we all make mistakes , to which i replied its was'nt mine.
got shopping came home got the bag off back seat of car , i had put in some shopping i got from sainsburys, scottish egg and corned beef,
as i got the bag off back seat i noticed leg was covered in milk that had trailed all over back seat
emptied what was left of the milk to check why it leaked, looked like it had been scored with stanley knife, you could see the marking above were it was leaking,
rang customer services and was told to speak to store , rang store was told i would get a call STILL WAITING
following morning i rang store was told i needed to come in and fill in rp125 was offered refund for 89p but said no and wanted to keep carton,
was told i would get a call on the friday NO CALL
rang store marie rang tesco was told i would get a call after weekend
    today no call
rang branch three times was cut off twice
third time was told nobody was they and i said i would call up
arrived was told marie and manager in a meeting and refused to get them,
somebody can't remember her name came and i asked her to ring customer services since ihad been told it takes up to 10-14 days to get a reply by writing and they do not ring.
was told to resend it and then another lady came over called shirley, had to explain again to her by this time i was losing it
told that tesco could close down computer system for the weekend well i wanted to laugh
i then asked for the manager since i was not prepared to wait for up to 6 weeks for this to be dealt with my car is getting very smelly its knocking us sick , we have spent all weekend cleaning seat and carpet
was told they have done what they can and i said its your error and needs sorting you have'nt even checked to see where the damage has been done !
well if its not in store its nothing to do with us!
the one behind the till said "what i can't understand is that if it had been cut with stanley knife in store it would have been leaking all over the store"
by this point i was ready to lose it how dare somebody make a comment like that when i had'nt even explained what i thought had happened,
then to make matters worst i was ordered to leave YES LEAVE THE ONE BEHIND COUNTER WAS TRYING TO SAY I CUT THE MILK CARTON
what do i do now ?
have emailed phil clark last week no reply
emailed customer services who sent a auto reply
    emailed phil clark tonight
rang customer services at 5.30 and explained was told senior manager would get back
    asap still waiting
i think its shocking to be dealt with like this

    Almond, keep persisting!!!!!

Eventually you will get a result. I have had a result from an issue well over a week ago after repeated emails to CEO, CS and letters too. Was informed that action will be taken against a staff member and was issued a £20 gift card.

You MUST keep on the ball for results. Do not be fobbed off when you are within your rights.

Tesco is acting rubbish here, I would now involve local paper if you can.

Tesco staff cut it accidentally with Stanley knife whilst getting rid of shrink wrapping.

Caused damage & stink to your car.

    Tesco should sort it out.
