After ive scarified i always have to sow more grass seed.

My garden is in a lot of shade in parts due to high trees so i get a lot of moss.

Id just give a good water - try to rake the soil a little to help the seeds to settle, throw some seeds in and keep watering (use a fine rose so as not to throw the seeds around too much)

    Hi

I have the same issues as gazza... so have to reseed all the time.

I always refer to the guys at another forum, but I've put the link to the, in my opinion, very high quality advice on lawn seed.

We usually buy hurrells or premier grass seed, and will only pay between £55 - £90 for 20kg which can last us a year for the patches, to compare that with £490 to have it returfed the year before last, which still had to be reseeded the same year, it makes a huge different to the pocket!

Click through and click on 'lawns':

Never buy from homebase or b&q anymore, when you think they are major retailers that charge x2 - x2.5 more (in most cases, don't quote me obviously but work it out on £7.99 per 500g....

    good luck

Loads of watering, morning and night if you can - get a sprinkler attachment for the hose, saves lots of time!!

It takes longer than what they tell you in most normal cases! I feel like an expert!!!
