tried to use the coupon for the dettol handwash system in superdrug today and they wouldnt accept it as the price was already marked down to £4.99.it doesnt say anywhere on the coupon that it cant be used in conjunction with another offer.is this right or should i go back tomorrow and try again??
I used mine in Superdrug today. Assistant wasn't sure what to do with it and went to ask. Came back saying she'd been told to try it and see, so she manually inputted the code and it worked.0 -

Evening all!
Has anyone had vouchers 'not scan' in Asda? I'm sure before I've had them manually entered but today the SA said they would not scan and refused them?
Not sure where I went wrong - it was the PG Tips one, Cheerios and Twinnings. Had bought all the right products too!
Hope everyone has had a good day and am just glad the world did not end this eve as predictedxx

where did you get the bold coupon from?
On the first page - supersavvyme coupons
Love it when a plan comes together. I spent all morning thinking up a shopping list and debating whether or not I could do a £40 shop with the NOTW voucher (a bit more than I wanted to spend a few days before pay day but didn't want to waste a good £5 saving). Anyway - decided to get some bargains from Sainsburys and see if I got any till spits. Bingo - I got 2!!£3 off £15 and £3 off £30
Also got 2 cheques today from Dr Oetker pizzas TMF and Ariel Stain remover MBG (even though I only paid £1 with MOCs they still refunded £3 as I suspected they might)
And I finally got my !!! in gear and sorted out my fantastic savings applications. Managed to get 3 together and I've had the emails to say my MOCs have been sent. Never done it before and realised afterwards I'd made a few mistakes. Didn't buy the right Flash products and didn't put the application number on top of my receipts so very pleased that they have been processed. :jAddicted to MSE0 -
Just wanted to thank everyone who answered my questions earlier - I had a really great shop!
£65.56 shop down to £27.74
Including the brand new Lego Pirates of the Caribbean game:beer:
Highlights:
The SA taking both my £6 Sainburys till spit and my NOTW Morrisons £5 off £40 and getting two packets of Philadelphia for free (2x £1 voucher and its on offer 2 for £2).
I could have probably made a more 'spectacular' end total by using more vouchers but I got some 'big ticket' items that I didn't have a discount for like the Wii game and a bag of charcoal but it was stuff I needed which I figure is the better way round to do it.0 -

coupon says 1 per transaction though
so prob won't be able to use 2 for this offer
i find my local boots stores are pretty strict with coupon use
Boots are strict with coupon use, I went to another store in another town yesterday, armed with various coupons from here and from the ACM (advantage card machine).
I had a voucher from ACM for a free product if I bought ANY No 17 cosmetic, the free product was worth £4.99. No 17 was on 3 for 2. So I got the free product, nail varnish at £2.99 and a No 17 sharpener at £1.99.
The 3 for 2 kicked in, but I had problems with my card, and the Manager had to manually scan my voucher and take it off my total. She messed me up doing this, as I had a voucher for 300 points for a £30 spend, as she took the £4.99 off and said I had fallen below my £30 spend and I had to buy more stuff to take it over, but looking at my receipt I had qualified at £41.xx.
Anyhow, the sharpener was free, the free product kicked in
, so 3 No 17 items for only £2.99
The Boots Manager didn't realise this!
She then tried to refuse a £1 off Nivea Mens product excluding minis and moisturiser. I bought Nivea Shaving Gel. I also had 100 points back on ANY shaving gel or foam boughtShe said it was not the same as the product in the picture of the coupon (from the Boots health and beauty mag). She was wrong, because it said ANY Nivea mens product excluding the 2 identified. I told her this, so she scanned it reluctantly and it worked.
Also dental products are on 3 for 2. So I bought the cheapest colgate I could find for the voucher from here, I got a voucher from ACM for 75p off another type of Colgate toothpaste, so bought that too, and toothbrush for DS. But I could have bought a 3rd cheaper item. The two vouchers for toothpaste would have worked as they were for 2 different products and I would have got 3rd free, she didn't realise this either
I got a £41.xx shop down to £25.xx using the vouchers legitimately and can tell you now she wasn't happy. She put it through but wasn't pleased and if she had refused was just going to tell her to call Customer Service again as they would tell her to process it all.0 -

After watching extreme couponing and feeling rather jealous of the stock piles I thought I'd give this coupon malarky a go and have been a bit of a lurker so thought perhaps it was time to say hello!
Firstly I'd like to say thank you for all the helpful links, I have built up quite a nice little stash of fairy and ariel stain remover!
Just wondered, when do supersavvyme add new coupons? And will Asda take coupons marked tesco and sainsburys? I noticed in Asda today that the Gillette Embrace single razors are on offer for £2 so with the £1 off moc it makes them cheaper than buying a box of replacement blades. I suppose I could always get them in tesco with the tesco moc and then submit my receipt into the price check. Sorry rambling on!
