Missing the thrill of DTD so grabbed a handful of printed coupons and took a trip to my local smallish asda. What a difference to T's!! Staff were very happy to help, and while they didn't sell any quantumatics, they had the Fairy fab softener in almond "flavour" for 62p!! I prefer this to the original, so grabbed the last 3 off the shelf and a caramac to make up the difference and paid with 2x £1 vouchers and 10p!
I think I'll be sticking around here more often now!!
It's only a game

Well, the £24 made up for some of the boobs I made in the last dying days of DTD...
I've done 4 shops using up my vouchers and now trying for the single difference, paid pennies as I used dtd vouchers/MOC's, and even used 2 DTD vouchers in one transaction although they were small amounts. No problems at all, and the older SA said she hadn't seen one before, and considering how much stuff used to disappear off the shelves, I was surprised! They floor manager didn't want receipts and said, we don't need those, which I guess is because they were below £10.
Looking forward to finding more bargains...I've tried the chicken that Dr Who Who mentioned and will let you know if it works for me.
Off car booting tomorrow, ealry start...aggghhhhh
As for wombling I got 6 receipts yesterday, haven't put them in yet...not sure if I have a way of doing it, but know it stresses me more if I walk past them!!:rotfl::rotfl:
edited to add, it's really nice seeing "names" from the DTD thread...:T0 -

I have 2 Tesco in my town plus an Extra store where i work that i could try.
I can't remember them all but there's definitely a variety of big names. Worth a try anyway. Sorry not much help thinking about it.0 -
Afternoon All, :hello:
Just a quick pop in and out again. Wow, I've only had a couple of days off and the threads changed, we've moved on lots of pages and got lots of new friends.
Making the most of the weather to catch up on the garden and spring cleaning this weekend. Went to watch DGS playing football this morning. It was an under-7's match, but I swear some of those lads were at least 15. They towered over him, and I'm sure one of them had a beard - DS said it was just the shadow from the sun - hmmm, not convinced
Not done much shopping at all this weekend, so nothing to report on that side. Has anyone managed to use the Countrylife butter coupon on the block butter yet, or is it just on the spreadable?
Welcome to all the newbies, great to see so many new faces.
Thanks to Browntoa for the shiny new thread and thanks to IS for updating :A
Will catch up on other posts and thanks later, going back in the garden to make sure DH doesn't get side-tracked from strimming.
I've used it on the block today.0 -

My son does my wombling and he is not bothered. On the odd occasion I have done it I just pretend its mine, just tut a bit and pick it up. No one even looks.
DS picked a load up for me yesterday and they came to over £20, well worth any embarassment I think, though it was a bit funny when he stopped the car to pick up a receipt that blew past us.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
DS says whatever you do, don't look around to see if anyone is looking, thats a sure sign your embarassed, just pick it up and move on. He has seen other people wombling too.
Happy couponing and wombling.
CWxx
That's some brilliant tips CW; but can I borrow your son? :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm tempted to go to Asda just for the wombling! Perhaps once a month if it justified the petrol...
I stopped the car and clambered into some bushes the other day after spotting a receipt in my peripheral vision! :rotfl::o:rotfl::o0 -
some of you might want to be aware of the coupon software being used by the likes of supersavvy me :

Apologies that this isn't technically regarding a voucher, but someone was mentioning the Dormestos voucher had expired, and was looking for more bleach.
Have seen this on HotUkDeals: 3 for 2 on Essential thick bleach at Superdrug (78p for 3 bottles):

With regards to the Huggies baby starter boxes there are two types around. The older ones have 2 x £2 vouchers on the box with barcodes and the newer version that looks exactly the same have 2 x £2 vouchers and 1 x £1 voucher but with no barcodes. I have used both and while its tempting to go for the box with £5 worth on i ve decided id rather have the £4 ones with the barcodes, so much easier to use and less obvious at checkouts especially if you were n t using it off more Huggies. It says on the boxes £5 refering to coupons but in the £4 ones it just says £££ s lol, saves actually looking in the box. My daughters having a baby boy end of July so she s well stocked up thanks to me. She s rather embarrassed at doing such a thing, but im not
Ahh thanks for that. So...can you use the coupons for products other than Huggies then? Or even Huggies wipes and not nappies?

I stopped the car and clambered into some bushes the other day after spotting a receipt in my peripheral vision! :rotfl::o:rotfl::o
:rotfl:
I've done that. Spotted one wrapped around a shrub on the drive out; gone round the block and back in just to get it.
I don't bother with any suspicious "inspector clouseau" activity - just bend and snap!
Very handy if I take youngest daughter with me for clambering under trolleys, if anyone looks, I just raise my eyes heavenwards and tut - kids eh?
Its OH birthday next week and he said he'd take me out for the day when youngest is back at school. We could do something "romantic" he said! I would rather we did a wombling-round-trip of several Asda's within a 30 mile radius with a flask and a sausage roll in the car but I smiled sweetly and said how lovely that idea was.
Lets face it people - wombling is good for the environment - we should all do our bit!
Well done Byatt, your last shop had an unexpected bonus, brilliant.madmuppet5 wrote: »Got a couple of sirloin steaks to shove in me chops this evening
steak AND chops?
Edited to add - just been checking through and submitting today's finds from Asda - one of the receipts has 2 packs of durex at £4. Embarrassingly I have checked this at mysupermarket and it would seem Tesco is n/a - whoever bought 2 packets must be an optimistic soul if nothing else as the other items on their receipt was broccoli, bread and 3 el paso kits! It made me smile!Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x0
