Subject: Re: Email to Tesco Chief Executive's Office
Thank you for your email to our Chief Executive's Office, to which I have been asked to respond.
It is concerning to learn that the Checkout Assistant has kept your original receipt when redeeming your price check voucher. I appreciate this must have been quite inconvenient for you because you had purchased an item of clothing that you may need to return. For this I am very sorry.
I have contacted the store and made them aware that this was the incorrect process. We ask that all receipts are signed after the price check voucher has been redeemed. This is to prevent people from abusing the spirit of the scheme. However, this Checkout Assistant should not have been informed to keep your receipt.
All stores are given the same brief to follow and I apologise if the xxxxxx store has not been doing this. All staff members that are unsure of the procedures relating to price check will be fully briefed again to prevent an incident like this occurring.
Thank you for contacting the Chief Executive's Office and allowing us the opportunity to clarify this for you.
Kind Regards
Louise Skelly
Customer Service Executive
Thanks Dr WW
Is it alright with you if I print off your reply. There is one tesco I go to who always want to keep the receipt. I end up having to argue like crazy that they cannot keep it, its mine. When I went last week to use a dtd voucher, I won the argument and kept my receipt and the supervisor turned round and said very loudly, "let her keep it, we will go and print off a copy anyway".
ta in advance

CW,, you can print if you like - but it the mean time - write to them (the same email as shown on my previous post) tell them which store. When they reply back to you at least you have the store name on their email which you can print out (as you can see I deleted out my store name on the post "xxxxxxxx").CouponWoman wrote: »Are you waiting to see if Blue has bought you a nice pressie from Portugal.:rotfl::rotfl:CWxx

Thank you!! I never knew what it actually was until now! Saying I work at Tescos on the checkouts and I see all the signs for the pricechecker, I never knew what it actually was. I'm now collecting all my T vouchers up and finding out how much I can save! :rotfl:0 -
