In Sainsbury's they would not accept the Supersavvy £1 off 650ml Fairy original washing up liquid coupon because they were on offer at £1 already - the nice SA scanned it but the till beeped and she read me the message. B*m.
Has this happened to anybody else?
I fancied a bottle of free washing up liquid, but consoled myself with paying 8p for the Finish Quantumatic.....
Used three coupons yesterday to stock up on fairy washing up liqued, 2 in one sainsburys then 1 in the other as they would not accept 2 coupons.
Had a really good shop yesterday, am loving this couponing saving me a fair bit of money and being able to get some products to use in the future.
Keep using the quantamatic coupons in asda and have loads of the starter kits to go with the finish tablets that i got on DTD at tesco, have about 18months worth of dishwasher tablets now!
Thanks every one!:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -

I bought two bottles of Fairy Washing Up Liquid today from Tesco, they are on offer at two for £2.50.
The till would only scan one voucher so I assume that was because it is on offer.0 -

as it won't scan if it was top right
but should do if they scan bottom left
She tried both barcodes on the voucher.
I wondered if Head Office had seen "Extreme Couponing" and panicked!i got mine from sainsburys with no problems:D
Oh well, just my luck thenI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
i must say sorry
i ask those daft questions once in a while but i can say hand on heart say i only use the correct voucher to item.like you say its the cashiers that get in trouble.
that and the embarassment of me getting caught out is enough to stop me.
was talking to cashier today in M's and she took a asda one by mistake and they had words, poor thing
but in tescos im have my fav cashiers who know i use coupons and a couple of days ago she scan my coupons without checking i'd bought items , it was only after i paid she thought about it. luckily and to her relief i always buy the correct items.
like you said though each to their ownWhat a brilliant thread!!:j
For years I have been wondering how Tesco produced their trouts...now I have finally understood:D
"Savvy";) MSEers deliberately pass over coupons for the wrong products (and then go online to brag about it!!) to young, unsuspecting cashiers, who then get disciplined for taking against the wrong product.
Funnilly enough, these unfortunate kids then have to hold up the queue, and get called "jobsworths" and "trouts" as they read all the details and stick to the terms and conditions, because they cannot afford to lose their job.
Happy couponning, however you choose to do it!!:beer:0 -

We knew not to touch the page that kept coming up saying we needed to upgrade and payment was needed right away. A lot of others gave out the info.sorry to say the same happened to my friend's laptop and she doesn't use MSE as much as I have been trying to convert her. They used McAfee too
She said it let through a virus, her husband had to reformat their hard drive, after he had removed the important documents and photos.
Her husband immediately purchased kaspersky. She was on the phone for a good half hour demanding a call back from a supervisor as she wanted a refund for McAfee. They had been told if they bought the paid version, they would be protected, etc.0 -

when there were coupons available at Sainsburys during a promotion where you could buy nappies and cleaning stuff and it would give you more coupons, and you could use both coupons - nappy and cleaning stuff in one go, S soon cottoned on how many people were doing it and how much they were losing, so they stopped it to only one coupon per redemption, although it was still printing the new coupon.
So maybe, your local store have cottoned onto the fact that it is free? Did you choose the original? As the voucher is only supposed to be the original. That is what I chose at both S and T. When I went to T on Saturday, it was £1.xx for the original, but I wasn't complaining at paying xxp for it!
And the SA kept checking with me that I had bought all the items I had given him vouchers for, and I said yes, I only buy the items I have coupons for. He said he had to check, which is fair enough.0
