stop laptop keypad?

Hey im using my mouse thats plugged into the usb port and as the mouse keypad is before the keyboard I brush over it and it clicks some thing and is very annoying, is there a way to disable it, buit still use my mouse?

Some laptop makers have a inbuild tool in Control Panel that can disale the mousepad.
The only other way I can think of is to go to Control Panel > System > Hardware Device Manager and then look through the list for something that says touchpad or mousepad and then right click and disable it. you can re-enable it by doing the same process.
If you want to get a bit more advanced you can go to Control Panel > System > Hardware and Hardware Profiles button and copy ovre the current profile and save it as say "With Touchpad Disabled" and then do the above in actually disabling the touchpad.
This way, when your laptop boots up you can choose the most appropriite profile for the situation.0 -
