Redundant while on Maternity Leave - advice requested

Hi

I'm currently on maternity leave and was planning to return to work 13 June. Unfortunately the company I work for has gone into Administration and I have not received my SMP for the last month. I called the HMRC who advised I need to get an SMP1 form from my company to take to the Benefits office to claim any future payments. I called the company administrators who didn't know what it was but are supposed to be looking into whether they can provide this for me. I can't claim any benefits or mortgage protection insurance as on maternity leave and my questions are as follows:-

When do redundancy payouts through the government generally come through?

Can I claim overdue SMP through them?

Can I claim notice?

When my maternity leave is up can I claim jobseekers allowance?

If so I have a letter from the company agreeing my return to work date. Can I claim jobseekers after this date or will it be once the full year is up?

Can I claim future SMP without an SMP1 form?

It's all a bit stressful as my partner worked for the same company so we're both out of work.

Any advice would be appreciated. We're going to try to go down to Citizens Advice this week but in the meantime any information or advice you can offer would be great!!

Thanks

Rachael

you could always print it off and sent it to them.. or email them the link. they should give it to you but there is no reason why you can't chase them. they will also need to give you your MATB1 back.

Ask to speak to their receivers if they do not help as I THINK they may be able to help you also.
