What exactly does it state on your LTSB confirmation.
Does it state that the correct amount of sterling was sent or does it say the equivalent of sterling to CAD?
What does your branch copy of the transaction say - you would have been asked to check this carefully before signing?

As above, you need the check your A4 copy of the original transaction request (assuming you did this in branch?) where in about the 3rd box down it will say the currency requested and how much. For example.

    Currency: POUNDS STERLING (GBP)
    Amount: £4,947.93 GBP

    If it says

    Currency: CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD)
Amount: £4,947.93 pounds worth of Canadian Dollars

then both you and the teller have made the mistake of not checking it properly. There should also be a charge line which will say either SPLIT, REMITTER TO PAY or BENEFICIARY TO PAY (I have a feeling that this option is no longer available though). The options tend to vary by currency/country as well.

Also check the posted receipt you should have which will list exactly what currency was sent where.

Tell Lloyds you want a full copy of the MT103(+) they sent via SWIFT.

I take it as OP has not returned that he signed for something he wished he had read first!
