How do you keep yourself occupied?!

Sunday evening, and I've managed to go half a day without spending any cash
However, I always get really bored during the week. Normally I'll end up putting ten quid into Betfair to waste a couple of hours. However, I put £20 in this morning and lost it all (bloody Nottingham Forest/AC Milan!). As such, I've pretty much reached the limit I put into betting for a month, and now have 3 weeks to go until the next payday!
Just wondering what people do to keep themselves occupied during the week, without spending any cash? I don't really have the option of popping round my mates as they live 40 miles away, so need something productive I can do myself! All suggestions appreciated. I do have some spare cash if there is anything worth investing in to keep me busy!

Do you ever look at their forum ? What do you think of it and whats your opinion of betting exchanges generally ?
I go for long walks 3 or 4 times a week, visit library, Town etc just generally get out of the house no good mopseying.0 -
I quite like betting exchanges (better than ladcrooks), although you do get the occassional 'rampers' giving bad advice in their forums!
I get back at about 6.30 so not really a good time to go out for a walk around here, or to town. Need something you can really do indoors?matched betting: £879.63

There are loads of things you can do that involve spending no money at all or very little:)
- Read a book
- Listen to CDs and reminish
- Watch videos/DVDs
- Spring clean
- Put things on ebay/amazon/green metropolis
- Spend time on the various forums on here and learn all sorts

- Batch cook and freeze so you don't have to cook every day
- Plan menus/shopping lists
- Do laundry/ironing
- Ring up a friend
Failing all that, pick up a hobby other than gambling
Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Well, I'm the opposite of you and I never seem to have enough time to do everything I want/need to do. You're more than welcome to pop round mine one evening this week and do my cleaning when I'm still at work if you like?

Seriously though, if you are interested in betting, why don't you try matched betting instead? Rather than wasting your money gambling, you can make a few quid by using the bookies free bonuses - check out the gambling introductory offers forum on here and look at the newbie thread to get the right advice on how to do it.
Other than that there's loads of stuff to do at home as moozie has mentioned. You could learn something via the internet/DVD/books - music, art, or even a language and then plan a holiday on the internet to use it. Join a forum and write reviews for money, do some exercise, have a lazy bath and stick a face pack on (blokes too
), redecorate, learn to cook something new............ ah, well, that's everything I'd like to get done!

Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
OK things I do that cost nowt:
- Read library books (I get through about 2 a week- since becoming DFW I've also become very well-read!)
- Watch TV (well theoretically it costs electricity and license fee but...!)
- Mess around on internet
- write (journal, stories, poems)
- chores
- homemade facials etc (yoghurt is a great face pack!)
- yoga (Got a DVD and mat last birthday so I try to make use of it)"People who "do things" exceed my endurance,
God for a man who solicits insurance..." - Dorothy Parker0 -
i do loads of free stuff but i have to fit it around work
i enjoy reading... the internet... crafts (ok a small outlay)... watching tv... sleeping... cleaning... there are loads of things but i must agree sundays are boring i usually bake around that time

Batch cook and freeze so you don't have to cook every day
That's great but then OP would have nothing else to do for the other 6 nights....0
