Hi,
Im trying to setup Nvidia 3D vision. My problem is the ir emitter turns green then turns off after 10 seconds. Apparently this means the usb driver is not installed correctly.
The problem is I cant use the CD to install the driver because the drivers that come with the CD are out of date.
I have a gtx560. All cards from 460 upwards are 3d ready and come with 3d ready drivers installed.
Im completely lost, there are too many drivers. Can someone help?

What Version of Windows are you running?
Here's the Vista / Win7 32bit drivers
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-32bit-270.61-whql-driver-uk.html
Here's the 64 bit drivers for Vista / Win7

If you are running XP then their are no 3D drivers....Laters

Im using win7 64.
When I go to my Nvidia control panel/system information, it says I'm using 270.61 driver. So I already installed the link you supplied.
My main problem is the IR emitter. When I press the button, it does not come on. I know it isnt broken because the green light comes one momentarily when I plug it in but I cant turn it on and off manually. Which is what is needed for the 3d setup.0 -
Just some more information. When I go to device manger and look at the USB IR emitter. It says it is working properly.
Although when I use the stereoscopic cd that came with the nvidia kit it says:Warning!
"This driver is intended for an earlier version of your graphic driver.
"Please go to https://www.nvidia.com and obtain a later stereo driver.
Im just so confused as to why I cant get the IR emitter to work.
Any help is much appreciated as always.0 -
Try this from Nvidia's help site:

Tried the above.
I give up, nothing works. Going to contact the manufacturers to see if I can get a new one.
So !!!!!! this is.0 -
Only thing I can think of is for you to remove ALL nvidia software and drivers reboot and try again with the drivers:

Thank you,
Basically the problem was I was using the CD which was installing old drivers conflicting with my pre-installed up to date drivers for Nvidia 3d.
By downloading 270.61 again and installing it with the IR emitter plugged in seem to sort out everything.
It was just a simple matter of going into nvidia control panel and setting up stereoscopic 3d.
And now Im good to go. 3d is pretty sweet.
Thank you for the help Solitaire.0
