Thunderbird problem

Thunderbird was working OK then two of our 4 e-mail accounts stopped sending but would still receive. I went to Yahoo and they were OK at that end. I saved my messages into one of the good accounts and deleted the two bad accounts. Now I can't recreate these accounts. All messages for these recreated accounts just go to the local folders. I can't make these accounts separate from the local folders. I can't send from these accounts because Thunderbird doesn't recognise them as a separate account. I hope this all makes sense.

Either I am doing something wrong or Thunderbird has corrupted somehow (an update?). All settings are the same as the functional accounts.

If it is not me can I repair Thunderbird or do I have to uninstall and reinstall?

If I have to uninstall is there any way to save my important e-mails?

Many thanks

    Have you tried this?

    Tools > Account Settings

Click on Server Settings for the account you want to place in separate folder. Then Advanced.

Then check the box next to "Inbox for this server's account".

Thank you krishna, must have missed that, my accounts are now separate but I am back to square one. The following is displayed when I try to send:

An error occured while sending message. The mail server responded From: address not verified; see http//help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/alternate/_email/index.html Please verify that your email address is correct in your mail preferences and try again.

The web address is about http which is pretty meaningless to me and probably irrelevant in this case. My email addresses and settings are correct as per the working accounts. Still not sending but receiving OK. Can't see any differences in the accounts for outgoing mail. Have I missed something?
