When Does A Debt Relief Order Start?

Me and my husband's Debt Relief Order started on the 16th of March 2011 and ends on the 16th of March 2012. Would our credit reports show that we are on a Debt Relief Order or would that only happen on the 16th of March 2012 please?

Hi

I presume you must have one DRO each.

Your credit files will show the DRO that applies to you as an individual, and I think this takes a few weeks to show up - will stay on file for six years.

A DRO starts on the day it is accepted by the DRO unit - sounds like both of yours started on 16 March

Hi, yes we have a DRO each. I know our names are on the Insolvency Register but would the DRO be on our credit files yet or will that happen a year from when we were accepted please?

the DRO starts from 16th March 2011 BUT can take a few weeks to show on your credit files...should be listed now I would think

(and it'll be off your files 6yrs from the start...so march 2017)
