Reducing Credit Limits and Credit Checks

Options
I thought I read somewhere on one of these threads that every time you ask your credit card company to reduce your credit limit they do a credit check. Have I understood this properly?

Not for reducing, that I no off……
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)
