First time that I have ordered on argos.co.uk and It has been a rubbish exprience.

On Thursday I ordered a Ipod 512mb and It was supposed to come Friday (as selected) - I Inputted all my payment details and placed my order and then It said about something about their systems are busy and they would be emailing me within four hours...but nothing and no ipod on Friday.

I tried again and ordered Friday night and got the same, and my order is supposed to be coming This Friday.

I haven't been able to check If my credit card has had funds taken. I have not got any email from Argos.

How crap is this!! I only wanted a cheap Ipod for college.

If you're not careful you could end up paying twice,and maybe only getting one i pod! i would ring Argos and speak to someone to make sure there has only been one order and one payment.They should be able to sort it out their end.

Phone customer service as they will be able to tell you exactly what is gong on but please don't scream watchdog and TS at them or they will more thank likely terminate your call and then you will be no wiser as to your delivery. Unfortunately it is that time of the year when everything gets overloaded and mistakes happen.:rolleyes: :rotfl: :T

Have you ever considered actually dealing with the company rather than venting about them? You know picking up a phone and making a call, being polite using civility and actually getting a result. Why after being told the server was busy and recieving no e-mail confirmation would you even EXPECT to get your order?

Take a module in people skills if you can. Perhaps this will help with your outlook on life. You remind me of a guy I saw in a bank the other day he was stood ranting abut "wanting to see the manager" the lady explained that he could make an appointment but she could deal with it for him there and then. They went into a side room and five minutes later he came out happy with what he had been told.

You see the lesson in that parable?

it's very unlikely you will get one. i ordered two on wed after seeing the adverts on tv. it said it would be delivered on fri between 1-6. i got the same message as you and received no email. i phoned their cust services as the money had not left my bank account and was told "we get calls like this all the time, we have no stock of the item -so it will not be sent" when i complained about the tv ad and their website still showing it and allowing you to order it - their response was basically tough. i wish i had reserved them to pick up as now no scottish stores near me have any in stock.
