New bathroom - any child friendly tips?

I'm in the process of scouring many brochures, bathroom stores as I am going to be buying a whole new bathroom suite (3pc, shower above bath) for my new home. I was wondering if any parents out there have any tips / lessons learnt which they would pass on so I get the most child friendly bathroom yet with style. Things like soft close toilet seat etc, any more?
TIA.
TIA.

Easily washable floorsPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

For us we chose a double ended bath.
If you have 2 children sharing a bath, you don't want a fight as to who has to sit at the tap end!0 -
Taps with lever handles (esp on wash basin) - much easier for kids to turn off properly !0

Thanks I have never seen these before. Bathrooms have come on so far in the past 6-8yrs. There is so much choice these days, such a wide range of quality and options, it is hard to finalise. It is a big expense so want to get the child friendly option covered without overlooking it, easily done with so many things to consider!0 -
Underbath lockable storage?
They make panel that open up to store bleach & stuff away from youngsters. Not Again0 -
Wow, I never thought to make our bathroom child friendly. But then We do need to do up ours. Been the same for the last 10 years and now we have a 3 year old a 1 year old.
Any way, about 5 years ago I painted the walls in the bathroom with washable paint, it's fantastic. Since we only have a few tiles around the tub and basin it would be a nightmare washing off messy hand stains etc.
So anywhere that's not covered in tiles, paint with washable paint.0 -
Brilliant, I am going to have the most child friendly bathroom around with all these ideas! Washable paint, great, using the diamond / endurance stuff elsewhere in landing / hall so will look at that too. I need somewhere to keep little fingers out of and as he is into every thing, a lockable section would be an added bonus. Thanks again everyone.0

I used to keep cleaning products in a flip top bin with a child fridge lock on it. Not the prettiest but keeps little ones safe. Am doing doing same on kitchen bin to stop the pesky hounds raiding it when we're out!0
