I've only just seen this thread but it gives me even more to do to keep distracted now <evil grin>
I'm always on the look out for animals for sale on Ebay (against T&C) particularly reptiles, and I always report those but hadn't thought about checking for stuff like this. Guess what I'll be doing to while away the early hours"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I saw an advert for a missing poodle on ebay the title said somthing like
"Lost Poodle. Do Not Bid."
It had a description of where the dog went missing, a picture and to contact the person if they had any info. I know that I should not laugh, but it had a buy it now for 1p.
Me and my friend were joking that we should buy it and in a few days ask where our poodle was.0 -
Wirm - I remember a while back seeing a site where possible con-artists, scammers etc.. were listed in relation to eBay.
Does this ring any bells with you?
I am interested in a laptop but am a bit suss about the guy selling - says he is away on business so can't collect item - said I am not in a hurry, will collect when he is back. Replies that he is in a hurry to sell and will do so when auction ends. Doesn't make sense. Think he is a fraudster.Looked at his feedback of 3. Will not be buying off him but want to check his details on that site to see if anyone else knows of him.sufferinsnickerinrickrastadley0 -
Not meaning to sound daft - I want to help out here - but what do you look for to find these ones? Are there searches you need to do or what?

I search in DVDs for the word copy - it's amazing how many people put it in. I also search for films that have recently been released at the cinema in USA and tv programmes that I know have not come out on DVD yet.
For pyramid schemes search for money. That brings up a lot. The links to get cheaper electrical goods are a bit more difficult to find.0 -
Ebay is full of these links, whereby what you are actually getting is a 'link' to some sort of 'scam'. The most popular one I've noted is the 'link' taking you to where you can 'buy' mobile phones at cheap prices.
Whilst I am 100% behind what you are trying to do here, I think you fighting an up-hill-battle, but do keep it going if you can.
One thing I did think would be a good idea, is if these bought 'links' were actually published on a free website somewhere, complete with a copy of the webpage, then these 'scammers' wouldn't be able to 'sell' there 'goods' as the links would be freely available on the website. It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!0
