Struggling, advice needed :-(

Hi all,

I have a vanquis credit card with a limit of £500. My balance is £528. I have recently had my hours at work cut and Cannot afford to repay at the moment. I just don't know whAt to do. Any advice is welcome, thankyou

You should contact one of the debt charities for advice - e.g. CAB, CCCS, or National Debtline - they will offer free, impartial advice, and will be able to comment on your specific situation.

I will do. Although I went on debtline website and apples for help online but because balance is under £1000 I couldn't proceed

Go and see CAB then.
Isn't there something you can sell to bring the balance below the limit?
This will save you a lot in charges.

I agree - at the moment you need to get back within your limit. Do that now and you need to find £28, let it continue for a few months and it will be a several times more ...

you need to look at your spending and to either cut down or increase your income (maybe get a parttime job)
