if your looking at an investment why not choose an investment fund that is in the property sector. if your not looking for a home, I don't know if now is the best time to get into property, people are waiting for a fall in the market.

If you do want to buy somewhere you need to distinguish between somewhere you would like to live and somewhere that works well as a rental.
Start looking in estate agents windows and on the web, rightmove and vebra are two big property portals.

  • Thanks for the reply - is there anywhere on this site that covers investment funds for property?
Can you recommend anywhere else to look?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Have you considered property investment in a different country/ With all the new countries joining, or preparing to join the EU there may be opportunites out there. But obviously you have to be very careful when investing abroad - but for instance did you know that for 30,000 euros you can buy a run derelict building in Tuscany that needs completely refurbishing. Obviously buying anything cheap and then putting in the work to renew it is a great way to make money from property - but you have to have the willingness and capability to do it. Consider that if you could spend six months refurbishing a 30,000 euro property and then sell it for 90,000 euros you would have made 60k euros for 6 months work (look at the tax laws though).

    Just a thought
