Friday 29th April - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
First time starting the thread, hope i havent mucked it up!
Hello everyone on this royal wedding day!! Im sorry that I'll be missing all the festivities. Fess up, how many of you have been camping on the route for a week?? :rotfl: My friends in London say the place has gone mad.
Sadly the royal wedding day is just another working day in Uganda. I'll be MSE as I can be...
Really missing england today. Hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday!

Good morning all, and thanks to NTBY for starting the thread today.
It's an exciting day today as I'm driving to Kent to spend a weekend with one of our fellow DFWers!! Firstly I'll be going to a funday at DD/DS3's local pub where DS3 will be sitting in some stocks being pelted with wet sponges. I can't miss this opportunity! :rotfl:
So far today I have:- fed and watered the chickens and let them out to eat the bugs and grubs (saves on pesticides for the garden!)
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- gathered together stuff for DH to Ebay
- checked household accounts and shuffled money
- paid rent and council tax online
- fill up car at Mr T's on way to funday as it's the cheapest around here at the moment
- minimal spends at funday, but certainly quite a few goes at the wet sponge throwing stall
- take fruit/cold drink for the journey to Kent so no spends at the motorway services
- meet a new friend

Hi everyone
Thanks for starting us off NTBY! I hope you have a lovely day today - I'm sure YouTube will be just as good as the live coverage
I am still clearing out. Place is still a tip, although we have taken stuff to the CS and stuff to storage (in law's garage) Today I'm tackling clothes. Trying out Project 333 and generally getting rid of clutter!! http://www.theproject333.com/
I have £40 in M&S vouchers so I'm going to sort out what I need clothes-wise and hope to pick up a few little t-shirts for summer with those.
Other things:- Staying in today - NSD???
- Check banking
- Watching Royal Wedding coverage but flicking over to the snooker to see if I can spot OH on TV as he's gone to that
- Called mum/sis with included min on mobile; not house phone
Might think of a few more xx0
