Watch your utility direct debits, I recently checked my mother-in-laws and found her gas was14months in credit phone 10months and electricity 13 months in credit I reclaimed over £750 for her and she doesn"t have to pay anything for 3 months.

I wonder just how much interest they make each month on d/d's which build up funds? Maybe this is why they don't bother to modify the software to correct this.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

The best way to counter this is to change supplier.
Then set up a direct debit, ensuring that your anticipated usage is much below what you do use.
If they do catch on, they will probably want to up it by some rediculous figure, call them and insist the rise is only minimal, it can be surprising how lapse they can be when it is in your favour.Nice to save.0 -
If you talk to the companies they should take a look at the usage and alter the monthly payments as appropriate. Unless you ask you won't get!
A well known telephone company are buggers for this. I was over £100 in credit and I mentioned that they could have at least reviewed my account and let me know that I was paying too much (which I know now isn't viable) and had I not thoroughly checked my statement they would have continued hanging on to my money!
However, they're quick enough to up your monthly payments without telling you!Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0
