Any update, Laura?' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0

Hi everyone, i am happy to report that Ozzy came back last night! I burst into tears and we had a very emotional reunion! I emptied the vacume cleaner and his litter tray in the garden and went to run a bath, by the time i had gotten in i heard him meowing
He has been asleep all day and has been very clingy but has had plenty of hugs and treats.
Thank you all for your help and kind wishes

Fantastic news, Laura! I'm so, so pleased for you! I'm not a poster who likes OTT smilies in posts, but:
:j:j:j:j:j
I've heard three stories, now, where cats have returned after the vacuum cleaner contents have been put outside. I must remember it if either of mine wander off...!
Seems like he got a little lost, but obviously found his way home with the smell.
But in future: update us sooner, will you?!?!
ETA - don't forget to let the vets know if they kept your details, and take the posters down.
