Transferring card balances from partners cards

Can you tell me if it's possible to transfer a credit card balance in some one else's name to a 0% deal that is in my name?

I would like to apply for a 0% balance transfer deal as I have a good credit rating. However the balances I would like to transfer to this card are in my partners name.

Is this even possible?

We managed to transfer all my credit card balances onto a 0% deal that is in DHs name, the credit card company phoned DH when we applied for the balances to be transferred, just to confirm that DH was aware of what was happening.
